Introduction to tulsa christmas parade

The Tulip Festival is a three-day event that takes place in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma each year during December 2nd to 5th. It has been around for more than 100 years and dates back to 1877 when it used to be called Market Hall. At its heyday, it was one of the largest fairs in the area with several stages on show. This year’s parade will have performances from the very best in western Christian music including Justin Bieber, Darius Rucker, Lil Baby, Dierks, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus among many others.

Tulsa Christmas Festival (TCF) is an annual event featuring some of the greatest and most talented singers from the Western United States. Each performer gives their absolute all to give their version of what it means to be a Christian! They sing songs like “Amen and Aye Amen” by Justin Scott and Chris Brown, “Faithful Love” by Ray Charles, “Jesus I Want You All To Know” by Darius Rucker, “The Gospel According to Me” by H.E.R., “When My Savior Went Up On Stage” by Brian Kirkpatrick, and “God Bless America” by Travis Scott. Many performers also perform in English, Spanish

I feel really excited about this event because it shows how much people care about what Christmas means, as well as how our community can make this holiday memorable. When you think about how bad things could get without Jesus in them I think that having to watch this wonderful spectacle has helped me appreciate the good things that we do. This is a festival where people can come together with a love for God and unity. There are so many positive messages that come along with this event which makes it such a great thing. We are showing our love for Christ through this spectacular event.

As soon as we were able to arrange this event the planning began. Since last November there were multiple gatherings along a wide range of social media platforms to choose from. As soon as you put in your information, you could enter and make sure that the name was accurate. People who did not receive their tickets for TCF were given reminders. Once this day finally came, there was no doubt amongst us all that this would happen. And boy was it! What a way to celebrate! Our group of friends gathered at my house all night with video cameras just to catch a glimpse of everything that they were going to see on this day. After several days of filming we were ready to go out for all of those amazing performances.

For the first time since 2013 the streets of Tulsa were full of vehicles and people. In every direction we saw thousands of cars honking their horns. I don’t know why it is fun but there is something different here. For once, the atmosphere was different. Before I could even step into any of these locations, my ears started to tingle. Oh wait… what?! Yes there was an actual Christmas Tree. Well let me tell you, this tree is a pretty impressive sight! While everyone cheered, I was thinking ‘What kind of person would throw a giant Christmas Tree away? Then this beautiful man ran up to me and gave me my ticket!

You see I’d already booked one more performance by Travis Scott! He had a few others coming up also and this wouldn’t be his final one. So, I asked him if he was doing another one for the same reason that he did for mine! No problem Travis! My heart skipped a beat because if anything happens and I need to take my own bus home I’ll get to see what else Travis is doing next year. This experience made me realize what a valuable gift someone has when the universe decides to send you exactly what you need. Now that I think about it, what a precious gift that someone has when the universe chooses to find you what you need.

I couldn’t help but wonder how big this entire event is. Will everyone here be attending many others next year if there ever is another opportunity for them to do so, or will most of them leave after the festivities were over? Can I get a question before anyone else does? Let me ask my friend who is watching the whole thing, “How do you stay healthy while dancing the Christmas Tree for two hours and getting close to 2000 people?” Thank you, Johnathan. You aren’t alone in your questions. Are you hearing that choral singing sounds like angels were singing to you in heaven? How long do you give yourself until you are completely naked and ready for a dance?
